Diamonds In The Rough Equine Rescue is a 501(3)(c) non-profit located in Virginia. Some of our horses come to us because loving owners can no longer afford to take care of their horses.  However, many come to us because Animal Control has become involved.  These horses many times are very sick and underweight. At Diamonds in the Rough, we nurse the horses back to health and find them loving forever homes.  As you look through our site, if you cannot adopt, please consider sponsoring one of these "Diamonds In The Rough".  We happily accept donations of food, hay, halters, brushes, buckets, and of course volunteer time.  We love to have volunteers come out and give our horses the extra TLC they deserve.
